George Casino Lipstick & Revlon Strawberry Suede Lipstick

Another lipstick post. I am going to be doing more than just lipstick posts, but I've bought too many new lipsticks recently!

These are the two newest added to my collection, I've been wanting the Revlon one for ages and I eventually got round to ordering it. The other lipstick was an unexpected buy, I was just browsing the (very limited) Rimmel make-up in my local Asda store and spotted this lipstick in the George make-up section. I swatched the tester on my hand and noticed it was a pink shade that I didn't have in my collection and for £3.50 I thought I may as well give it a try!

George (Asda) Lipstick - Casino 19 £3.50

Firstly, how similar is the packaging of this lipstick to the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks? Not that, that is a bad thing. I'm quite glad that the packaging isn't one of those horrible cheap clear plastic lids, like you find with a lot of cheaper lipsticks.

The formula of this lipstick is quite creamy and doesn't dry your lips out, it certainly doesn't feel like a cheap supermarket lipstick! It lasted on my lips for around 2-3hrs (with drinking). There was some transfer and when it did start to fade, it faded evenly.

Swatch.

I think this is a very wearable pink shade and would suit the majority of skin tones. It is a slightly more coral pink, but it definitely looks more coral in the photo than it actually is.
Overall I think these are an absolute bargain and if you're ever in your local Asda, go check out the other shades as there was quite a variety.

Revlon Matte Lipstick - Strawberry Suede 005 £7.49 (Amazon)

I've bee lusting after this lipstick for so long and eventually caved and ordered it from Amazon. I am a fan of matte lipsticks so was waiting eagerly for this to arrive. I love the matte packaging of this lipstick and the top of the lip has a clear plastic window where you can view the bullet.

The bullet looks slightly orange, but when swatched and worn on the lips you get to see that it is in fact a pinky-red colour. When I first saw this I thought it was going to be similar to the Kate Moss Rimmel matte lipstick in shade 110 but once I had actually tested this out I noticed that this isn't as bright (which for me, is a good thing).

I am in love with this lipstick! As soon as i put it on, I fell in love with the colour! Usually when I get a drink after applying a lipstick (any lipstick, even the long wearing ones) the lipstick transfers to the glass for the first couple of sips... Not with this lipstick! I had a drink within five minutes of applying it and there was no transfer at all! How brilliant is that?!
Even though this is a matte lipstick, it's not as drying on the lips as you would think.

This lipstick lasted 6-7 hours (including eating & drinking) without any touch ups. When it did eventually start to fade, it faded evenly and not patchy at all. WIN.

Swatch.

It's looking slightly more orange in the swatch above, but that is probably down to my rubbish camera!
This Revlon lipstick has definitely became one of my favorites!

My Rimmel Lipstick Collection

I am a lipstick junkie. Simple.

I have 13 Rimmel lipsticks in my current lipstick collection and I am positive that's the most, out of all the brands in my entire collection (Please don't assume I have this massive collection, as I don't. WISH I DID!)
I find that the formulas of all the Rimmel lipsticks are amazing, obviously you get the odd poor one from each collection, but overall Rimmel get it spot on.

They're pretty cheap too! you can find them ranging from £1 (Hello Poundland!) to about £7 for the newer shades, which is a bargain!

Here's the first part of my Rimmel lipsticks:

 L-R Coral Queen 620 x2, Heather Shimmer 220, Diva Red 500, Sweetie 014, Nude Pink 206

Firstly let me apologise for the ridiculously rubbish photo! The colours don't look true to shade but I suppose that doesn't matter too much as this is only showing you my collection, not really a review is it? If you're like me, I'm sure you have already came across some brilliant photos capturing the shades beautifully from some other blogs!

Moisture Renew
Diva Red was my first ever Rimmel lipstick and I used to love it. It's a brilliant blue toned deep red (not a vampy red though.)
I bought Coral Queen not long after and that soon became a firm favourite in my collection (which is why I have recently repurchased a back up) This has seen me through many drunken nights out at University and has even had teeth marks in at one point... Please don't pretend your hand has never 'accidentally' slipped when topping up your lippie after a few too many!
Heather Shimmer is, for me, a 'play it safe' kinda shade and I'm not gonna like, I don't really use it that much and I'm actually baffled as to how much I have used.

Lasting Finish
I have two from the Lasting Finish collection which are Sweetie and Nude Pink (Nude Pink has came up a lot darker in the photo) I bought Sweetie when I was desperate for a really bright pink, this was before there were hundreds of different bright colours to choose from. I do like it, but it has a shimmer to it, which I am not too keen on in my brighter lipsticks.
I love Nude Pink, it's extremely easy to wear and similar to Heather Shimmer, it's a 'safe' colour, but I find myself grabbing this lipstick a lot more and this one is usually found in my handbag! There is a shimmer to this one too, but due to it being a lighter shade, it doesn't bother me at all!

Swatches

Diva Red is coming up extremely pink in this photo, which it isn't at all! It's a beautiful blue toned red! Sweetie hasn't came up as bright as it actually is, in the photo.

My Kate Moss Lipsticks

L-R 04, 15, 02, 01, 03, 107, 110

LOVE the Kate Moss collection that Rimmel do. You can pick up some truly wonderful shades for a really good price. I think I have quite a varied selection of shades, but my absolute favourite (possibly even my ALL TIME favourite lipstick) is the dark red 107 shade from the matte collection.
IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I love everything about this lipstick, the smell, the texture, the staying power & the packaging. I am definitely going to have to make a cheeky repurchase (or 3) of this soon!
The only one I am not very fond of out of these, is the grey/purple/metallic shade (15). I've never worn it outside the house, I just find it a difficult colour to wear.
The dark purple (04) shade is amazing and I find it can be worn many different ways.
03 is a lovely pinky nude colour that is perfect for those days where you don't really want to wear a bold lip colour.
110 is a bright red-y/orange colour, I am usually a massive fan of these shades but I haven't found myself going for this lipstick a lot.
01 is a darker red shade lipstick (darker than the photo shows) I would class it as a safe vampy colour, for those who want the vampy lip look, but are a bit scared to go all the way.
02 is an amazing bright pink colour and I think this sort of shade will always be one of my favourites. What can be better than bright pink lipstick? It reminds me of a Rimmel one I had a couple of years ago (got it really cheap from a make-up stall) it was called 'In Vogue' I think. I done the mistake of allowing my old flatmate to take it on a night out with her. She returned with just the lid (I am still bitter about this!)

Swatches

04 is a lot more purple than showing in the swatch and looks a lot more matte than is shown!

-----

I am thinking of doing more from my lipstick collection (Lipstick is my favourite thing at the minute) Seriously can't get enough of them.
But I don't have as many from each brand as Rimmel, so they could probably all fit in one post, without me rambling on!

Here's a preview of my High-End Lipstick Collection.
I don't have many but it is growing! I will do a post showing you the shades of each of these
:)

And yes, I only have FOUR MAC lipsticks, I have only recently started buying MAC. Gotta say, I majorly regret not getting them sooner.
(Technically I have three MAC lipsticks as two are the same hah)

A New Start

I find myself reading so many beauty blogs and end up lusting after (NEEDING) so many products that I thought it was only right to start my own blog. I suppose it's a bit like starting a new school where you don't know anyone. Hopefully that will change soon when I become a lot more active within the Blogosphere :)

I'm hoping to get at least 3 posts up a week, depending on my work schedule and they will be anything from reviews, make-up collections, products I want and my Top 5...

Please feel free to drop me a comment as I would love to read your blog. I find myself glued to my phone browsing through billions (okay, maybe not billions) of blogs a day!
